While I'm sure a search of the web might turn up some nifty software that will randomly draw names from a list, I'm a very low-tech gal in many ways and felt that scraps of paper drawn from a hat were just the ticket for this contest. (All entrants with multiple correct guess had several bits of paper.)
Here's the hat:
Yeah, I know it's a bowl. It's one of my favorite Pyrex bowls and I thought it would be good luck for somebody. Not that I believe in luck.
Here are the names on the slips of paper.
Please don't look too closely, I use the backs of my husband's pay statements as scrap paper.
The first name drawn will receive, all expenses paid, a copy of either "None But You," of "For You Alone."
Drumroll ... isn't this exciting?
Joanna Y. !!!
Name number two will receive the same:
Drumroll ... swirling names in the hat ....
Gayle M. !!!
And now, the grand prize winner of an entire SET of Frederick Wentworth, Captain ... drumroll ......
JaneGS !!!
Here's a snap of the names drawn.
The results of this contest have been verified by me and my dog Jacki. Well, she's snoozing away on the couch right now but as soon as she wakes up, I'm going to tell her all about it. I promise.
I'll be contacting the winners today. Thank you all for playing along in my first contest. Maybe we can do this again soon.
And I mean it Readers, I really thank you all for taking part.
Have a great weekend.
And here's my last chance to use this pic for a while:
Just because I really like it.
Take care--Susan Kaye

Thank you for posting that picture again...I like to look at it too. So, what movie was it from?
@Anothersue - I thought you all would like being in on the fun! Oh, the time was about 6:30 AM. Just want you all to know.
@MargaretinVa - The movie is Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day. The movie takes place in London just before WW2. Hinds plays a lingerie designer engaged to a younger woman who is marrying him for his connection in the fashion world. The heroine, Miss Pettigrew, catches his eye as the only genuine person around. The overall movie is amusing, but the relationship between the heroine and Hinds's character is sweet and thoughtful--they being older, and having lost people in the previous war bring a particular poignancy to what is supposed to a "mad-cap" romp. (Warning: There is some gratitous, fleeting nudity which seemed to be added to bump it to a PG-13.)
I am so thrilled to have won the Grand Prize--as I said in my email, this set goes in my Austen bookcase, and the copies of your books will go to the lending library of my JASNA group for others to enjoy!
Thanks!!!
Ladies, You've all been great for waiting. Last week I got all caught up in having a baby. WHOA! Not mine, but my daughter's. Selah Josephine came into the world, screaming, Friday morning. So, now that I have all that squared away, the books for the winners will be going out later today.
Take care--Susan Kaye
